I hate reading news articles. I hate paying attention in class when certain topics come up. Do you know why? Because I love not knowing when the world I supposed to end. I love not knowing how one person is slowly killing us.
Some people aren’t afraid to know these things, because they know they can change it. Me? I’m a 15 year old girl who at this point doesn’t know what rights she is going to end up having. I’ll fight how I can, but I can’t fight much. To many my voice is worthless, but to me it’s all I’ve got.
I don’t know much about politics, but I know either way whoever we ended up with things weren’t going to be good.
I don’t want to be repressed. I don’t want to go unheard. I WANT MY RIGHTS. And I want my future children to know they don’t have to be scared; to know they have rights, and to know we all fought for them.
So listen to my tiny voice now, because one day it will roar louder than the others. Right now, I prefer my ignorance. But just wait; I’ll eventually show you how hard I can fight.
